Progress!

How are your seedlings doing? Here’s a photo gallery (below) of our cool-season seedlings toward the end of November. They’re doing well. I’m transplanting some into the garden. And I’m about to start more! (Header photo is of purple lady bok choy planted in a container.)
Early Mizuna. Little white pebbles are perlite, which I’m using to soak up extra moisture. Our seedlings were flooded in this week’s rain. Nantes Carrots. About to be thinned. Detroit Dark Red Beets. Short Day Bulb Onions! Difficult to grow in Southern California, so we’ll see how these get along. Artichoke, Green Globe Improved & Purple of Romagna. I just planted these and am excited to see them getting started. Parris Island Romaine. Copenhagen Market Cabbage. Our volunteer tomato plant has started to produce fruit. Not sure what variety yet. Chard. The seeds came from a chard plant we had in our garden. This will be the first time we’re growing vegetables from our “own” seed. Little seed packets I made to capture all of the exceeds seeds we have. I’m planning to add these to the seed bank at our local crop swap.
